Hi, I'm Allie!

I launched Twine and Stem in mid-2020 with the idea of selling farm fresh flowers in unique and varied combinations with a ‘not-outrageous’ price tag.

The idea stemmed (pardon the pun!) from a need to split our everyday bouquets and flower deliveries away from its sister business, a wedding & event flower operation called Classic Bouquets that had been operating since 2015.

Twine and Stem always had a more organic, rustic, brown paper and twine feel to it. We intended to use as much locally grown product as we could, with the eventual plan to try to make a dent in the local cut flower industry – to do this you need to not only to go to the source, but become the source and grow your own from seed!

We made our tree change relocation to Central Victoria whilst the wedding business was still going – we found some land with a few water storage dams; then we began testing and planting out flower beds so I could offer my own locally-grown and nurtured cut flowers to regional floral creatives.

I’m a firm believer in sustainable business practices and working within a regenerative method. I aspire to continually learn more about my craft and evolve Twine and Stem as more gorgeous bunches of our flowers are sold.

Your support in choosing our micro flower farm and following the Twine & Stem journey is very welcome.

Some armfuls towards the end of season for remembering when it gets even colder. Can't believe we're feeling 6degree nights just over a week after 38degree days! It's a wacky season shift
Could this be the last hot day of Summer?! Think it's time for rain now and to see some more green ๐ŸŒฟ

During my farm tidy up I've been listening to podcasts, keen to learn more about regenerative farming. I stumbled across Pulse Watering. The possibility of saving water by watering for 5 or so minutes 6 times a day to help the shallow flower roots and microbes stay damp is a fascinating concept during these hot and dry days ๐ŸŒž Let's see!
